It does, and it's really not a matter of opinion. I played around with some mods for SHV, but to me it just did not feel the same.Unless you've played it with some heavy mods, I wouldn't hold it against you, if you still think it blows. The good news is that today it has been stripped. then got it back out and tried it and shelved it again.I agree with your sentiment on the DRM. I have had SH V for a long time and because of the DRM I shelved it. Quote from: PanzersEast on January 24, 2013, 12:33:28 PM

is the best place to get the mods and the GWX mod can be found at. I would also highly recommend using the SH3 Commander which gives you a ton of customizable options and will also manage your careers and data for you.

You can find that update link on the subsim forum. The version of JSGME that comes with GWX3 is out of date but usable. You simply unzip and drop the mods above in the MODS folder and then run the JSGME.exe to enable them in the order above and you are off and running.

When you install GWX3 it will automatically be placed in the root of your SH3 folder along with a MODS folder. They are simple to use because it uses the JSGME - Generic Mod Enabler. Yes, GWX 3 and the other mods do work with Steam. Do they work with the Steam version? How easy are they to install? Where is the best place to get them? I also have gaming ADD, and would gladly go back to SH 3 at some point. I wish someone would mod more compartments for the Gato or Balao class. But the experience is one par with one another. It adds a lot of options and manages your careers for you (external mod).

The only thing about SH4 is that SH3 Commander was not remade for SH4. I have a modded version of SH4 and it is on par with SH3 I can give you a list of what I use. It just seemed less of a sim to me, but it sure looks nice. I also prefer SH3 because you are not limited to one sub type and I heavily use SH3 Commander. There is not a super mod for SHV, however someone has put together a collection of them. I played around with some mods for SHV, but to me it just did not feel the same. Have you played around much with a modded SHV? I wonder how that would stack up.any GWX mods for SHV? Where does SHIV fall in the spectrum? OLC's Modified Searchlight Beams for GWX3 Tikigod's 3-D Clean Big Dials (Glass Refelction) Still a great simming experience and one that trumps my flying ones.Īces' Type 7 Super Turms Only v3 (requires Anvart's (GWX_DFa-Flag&Pens_2010) Flakmonkey just released his Interiors 2.0 which now includes the forward torpedo room of the Type VII and with added character models (he is working on the aft torpedo room). SH III with GWX 3 + SH3 Commander is still the best sub experience out there with the installed mods below. then got it back out and tried it and shelved it again. Anyway, I have had SH V for a long time and because of the DRM I shelved it. I jump around way too much and this tends to lead to unfinished campaigns and games. As some of you may know, I am a ADD wargamer.
